I started to feel the Christmas spirit yesterday and went shopping. This year we are just buying for kids so it was pretty easy. I am almost all done. I have one nephew left, one more thing for Alex, dog stockings and kid stockings left and then I'll be finished. I really had fun which was nice because things have been a little stressful lately.

Christmas time fills my mind with all kinds of special memories. Here is one: Every year we as a family would go to The Original Christmas Tree Store. It was so exciting. They had huge beautiful displays and thousands of ornaments to choose from. I loved going. We were allowed usually to pick out one or two each. I absolutely loved listening to the Christmas music playing and hunting for my ornament. I usually picked something really pretty. I really liked these birds that you could clip to the tree and often that is what I chose. Here is the amusing part of the memory. If you know my brother then you will really get a kick out of this. Steve chose the same ornament every year. It was a corn on the cob. That's right we had maybe about 6 corn on the cobs on our tree! Anyways, it was funny..

I am really tired and can I be honest? I feel a little sad. I'm sure it will pass...I know this sounds corny, but when I feel sad I make myself think of something happy and I know that I will not always feel sad and that happy times are around the corner and before I know it, I will be smiling and laughing:) So that memory I just told you made me smile and laugh just now...thanks Steve!

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. Ours was nice. We are just about all settled in here. Almost unpacked, but it seems like there is still so much to do and not enough time. Noah is everywhere and keeps us all very busy. He is very active and curious!

On Wed. Noah had a play date. It was really fun. Lots of mommies and babies came and we made a craft. We traced his hand and made turkey happy thanksgiving cards. We gave o
urs to Daddy.

Thanksgiving was at my mom and dad's. My mom cooked everything this year. It was all so yummy. My mom is the best cook in the world!

After we ate, my parents watched Noah while the rest of us went to the movie to see Twilight. It was so good. I could tell Brad thought it was a little cheesy. Well, it was a little.. but I liked it. I read the book and I thought they chose perfect actors for the parts. I was happy to get to take Alex and Cameron to a movie since we don't get to do that very often any more.

When we got back we had pie with my parents. Noah decided to have a meltdown so we left after that. He looked so cute in his Dallas Cowboys jersey Daddy bought for him.

Now Christmas is right around the corner..which I'm usually excited about, but it sounds so stressful to get that tree out now with this whole moving thing..But I'm sure I'll get in the spirit!

All Moved In

Well, we are all moved in:) Finally. It was so exhausting..now we have a ton of unpacking to do. I like this house. We will most likely stay here a couple of years and then move into something a little bigger, but for now this is fine. Its a cool house..I like older houses..I always have..they just have more character or something. Anyways, just wanted to let you know we made it and now that I got my cable and Internet hooked up, I will survive!

Just a quick note to brag on Alex.. its 3 weeks into the 2ND 9 weeks and he has all A's and B's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please say a prayer for him that it stays that way. School is hard for him, and I understand that...I just want him to get his diploma..its not any secret that I did not get mine and I have always regretted that, I don't want him to have that same regret. Cameron got his report card and he did great again..same thing, all A's and B's with a one high C (78%). He always just barely doesn't' make the A and B honer role, but I really don't care about that. I care about him doing his best and I think he did so GREAT JOB, CAMERON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I know we are flaky..We are going to go back to First United Methodist of Carrollton. The kids and Brad just don't want to go back to HCC because they really loved FUMC. So, I want them to enjoy church and not dread it... I will maybe once in a while visit HCC and maybe they will, too.

Yesterday Brad rented a truck and we packed and moved all day. I am getting worried. We move completely this coming Friday and I hope we are all finished. Hopefully the following weekend we will have a huge yard sale. I am so excited to be getting rid with so much junk we don't need that just clutter things up. I feel like this move is really going to turn out to be a positive step in our lives. I think its really important to find the positive in things and I am so excited to be moving into a one story with a flat yard. The kids are excited, too. Cameron is going to be going to Blalack Middle School in Jan. and Alex to Creekview. Cameron is excited to see his old friends from Rainwater Elem. Alex knows kids at Creekview and he is excited as well. I am stressed, but trying to stay energetic and positive.

Yesterday, Noah went to Kids Play for a few hours while we worked. I have never left him so long. I am so grateful I am able to stay home with him because even though sometimes I think it would be nice to work, I cannot imagine leaving him there everyday. We know the lady there and she is soooo nice. Her name is Brojana and she truly loves her job and kids...you can tell. He did have a fun day.

I will be glad when we get moved, so I can cook something decent for my kids...fast food is getting old, but I just don't have time to cook right now. Too much to do and it is so hard to get any of it done with Noah.

Last night Alex spent the night with his friend, Josh...so I am waiting for him to get home and help me. We have to go to the new house to wash clothes because we had to get a new washer and dryer....it broke on me last week. So we have no clothes. I feel a whine coming on...I better stifle it fast..too much to do for that!

I decided to start going back to my old church and I am so glad I did. Last night was our first night back and it was so nice to see everyone. Its weird small group not meeting at my house anymore. Maybe when I move and get settled in we can start that back if they want to. I'm a little embarrassed over Cameron's behavior. For some reason he was really hyper yesterday and he was that way as soon as I picked him up from school and delivered our PTA fundraiser items that came in. I hoped he would calm down, but he did not. Oh well, everyone has off days and there are worse things in life anyways than a wound up 11 year old boy. I'd try to get deep and say maybe he was nervous or stressed out, but I really believe he got excited about the fundraiser junk food that came in and just did not calm down...ANYWAYS I am very happy to be back at HCC and feel like God led me back there.

Today I met an old friend from my childhood and early teenage years for lunch. She had her adorable daughter with her and I had Noah with me. It was awesome to see her. She still looks the same and we had a good time talking. We are going to meet up again after Thanksgiving. I'm so glad we reconnected. I found her off facebook. I love facebook. Its so addicting and fun to find people from the past and just to know what everyone is doing. Its fun.

Tomorrow Brad and I are moving and packing all day. We also have to do laundry...our dryer died completely earlier in the week and we had to get a new set. They delivered it to the new house yesterday, so I have a ton of laundry. Its crazy how much laundry this family has.

I have to brag on Mr. Alex. He has really brought his grades up. I am very proud of him and pray he keeps working hard.

I'd better get some sleep tonight, because I have had very little the last 3 nights. For some reason, I have not been able to sleep well and toss and turn for hours. I hate that. Hopefully tonight I'll finally sleep!

Today we took a nice break from all of the packing and went to a play date. Noah got to play with Cassandra and Liam. He had so much fun. I just wanted to post a few pictures of my cutie.

Today I am trying to keep a positive attitude, so that I don't end up in a mental institution....wow, it's pretty bad when a mental institution sounds like a beach in Mexico to you! Okay, I know, I'm a little bit of a drama queen. Seriously, I have so much to go through and pack...we have WAY too much junk. I am about to take Cameron and myself to get our hair cut...I need some inches cut, I'm beginning to feel like an Amish woman with eye makeup. After I get home and feed my 3 wonderful angelic children a healthy lunch of Taco Bell, I am going to pack like a mad woman...which I think I am so that won't be a problem for me. I am going to have to get busy, my house already looks like it threw up on itself! Say a prayer for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trick or Treat!!!!!

Last night was Halloween and we had so much fun. Alex went trick or treating with his friends in Castle Hills, so I don't have any pictures of Alex:( He said he had fun, though...he got 12 regular sized candy bars and ate 11 of them while he was out. He gave me the 12th. Brad, Cameron, Noah and I went trick or treating with Ricardo and his kids, Ricky and Paola. We had a good time. Noah was a little cranky, but he fell asleep, thank goodness. We met up with Cameron's friend, Jacob..and he went with us. We had fun and I cannot believe how much Noah has grown since last year. Next year he'll be like a real kid going up to the doors! Here's a picture of Cameron in his costume and a picture of Noah last year and then one of him this year as Franken-baby!!!!

They are so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Halloween
